(More customer reviews)This cap is worthless. It made my water taste bad (whereas the original 'sport cap' never did), so I removed the silicone o-ring and put the cap in the dishwasher, thinking it had some coffee residue on it or something.
After I took it out of the dishwasher, I could hear water sloshing around _inside_ of it! It appears to be completely impermeable - there are no apparent holes in it. Nevertheless it has water inside of it, with no evident way to get the water out.
The 'sport cap' that came with my Kleen Kanteen is hollowed out, like an upside-down cup - there is no bottom. This low-profile cap is hollow but has a bottom - it has a continuous outer surface like a fishing bobber or something.
Clearly they need to work on their quality-control. Avoid this cap like the worthless POS that it is.
