(More customer reviews)A friend recommended this book to me, and I wasn't sure I would like it, but, man, am I glad I opened it up. This is one of the best stories I've read in years. I literally could not put it down. Not only is it a great true-crime mystery, it's a history lesson and social commentary. This is the best book about a southern city since "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." Don't let the cover or subtitle fool you: it's a golf book the way "Seabiscuit" was a horse book. Go get it. You'll love it.
