(More customer reviews)I started reading O'Connor in the mid-70's, when he was still an active magazine writer. I have several of his books, at least one which has subsequently become a hard-to-find collector item. His somewhat acerbic style was appealing to me, and while his technical knowledge was vast, he was an advocate of keeping things simple. He had a knack for explaining a concept in a way that really sticks with you.
This book shows a more personal side of O'Connor, which isn't present in most of his other writing. Even though I was pretty well versed, I still learned things about him and his family from these lesser known articles. A valuable addition to any JO'C library.
