(More customer reviews)I bought this book for tips on black bear hunting for the Northeast U.S. region. The book is well-made as others have stated, the paper is heavy and the photos are vivid color, which is nice to see in this day and age.
The book goes into a good deal of detail in explaining the habits and mindset of black bears. There were parts of the book that I did not find too useful such as the large sections on hunting over bait and with hounds,these practices are illegal in my state. I personally would have preferred to see more on spot & stalk,and hunting from a ground blind. The book also does not discuss preferred bullet construction for this potentially dangerous game species. Outside of these shortcomings it is an informative and helpful hunting book.
