(More customer reviews)My son turned 13. He became a different person. I became a different parent. I didn't understand what was happening, and then we reached a crisis point. This book caused me to completely reposition my parenting philosophy. It's allowed me to focus more on the love of my child, than on the fear of how he will "turn out." The idea of being a "consultative parent" is an absolute breakthrough for me, and one that is working beautifully after only one week of practicing it. I am thrilled with the results and the possibilities. The authors are to be applauded with a standing ovation.
